The Novus Place Parking Structure is a 7-level, 1,800-stall parking structure with mixed-use retail on the ground level and provisions for future vertical expansion to provide additional stalls. Walker utilized a design-build method, cast-in-place, and post-tensioned construction. Walker’s services included structural/functional and production architecture.
The parking structure is the initial component of ASU’s planned mixed-use Novus Innovation Corridor project. The Novus Innovation Corridor is a future-forward urban environment planned to include more than ten million square feet of development in the heart of Tempe. This parking structure will provide essential parking capacity for tenants and visitors of Phase III of the development.
This ASU-owned parking structure will provide parking for adjacent office buildings, ASU visitors, and the new Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building 7 (ISTB-7). It will also support events associated with the Desert Financial Arena, the new multi-purpose facility, and the 365 Community Union at Sun Devil Stadium. The project is designed to pursue Parksmart Gold Level Certification.
