Walker provided functional design/consulting and structural engineering on a 1,058 space 5-level precast concrete parking structure for physicians of Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center. Walker recommended Banner leave the existing MOB foundations in-place, which saved the expense of removing the abandoned foundations. The stained precast concrete superstructure with CIP concrete field topping is supported on drilled pier foundations. We also performed an additional lighting study to overcome the City’s lighting ordinance related to light pole height restrictions, which resulted in a net savings of $50,000. Parking efficiency of 326 SF/space was achieved.
