This parking garage serves Suburban Hospital, a community-based, not-for-profit facility serving Montgomery County. Located in Bethesda, Maryland, the 1,115-space, 7-level (4 above- and three (3) below-grade) cast-in-place post-tensioned parking garage is clad with vertical precast walls with thin brick and vertical 100% visual block louvers. Sustainable design elements include cement alternatives, recycled and regional materials, bike parking, LEFE parking spaces, electrical vehicle charging stations, and high-efficiency lighting.
Walker served as Engineer of Record and provided Prime Design services, including Functional Design Consulting and Structural Engineering.
