Walker Consultants provided functional design and structural engineering for a new five-level, approximately 2,200-stall parking structure for California State University Los Angeles.
Located in the northeastern portion of the campus, the design includes a rooftop canopy solar system, electric vehicle charging stations, and automated parking guidance system. The structure includes an enhanced pedestrian connection to the main campus.
Walker delivered the project through the collaborative Progressive Design-Build process, which provided flexibility to the University to “progressively” authorize design and construction phases as the project costs are refined.
