Carl joined Walker in 2006 and is now Managing Principal in Walker’s Minneapolis office. He is responsible for the management of projects, structural and parking design, quality reviews, specification development, and contract document coordination. He also manages and directs facility restoration projects, field surveys and testing, develops designs for the rehabilitation and restoration of structures, and excels in the construction administration of projects. His extensive background in structural design, testing, and construction lends to insightful contributions to the approach of projects. As a structural engineer, Carl has designed numerous post-tensioned parking facilities and has developed repairs for various structure types, including precast and post-tensioned concrete buildings and steel-framed parking facilities. He also has led several parking area lighting studies, leading to the implementation of safety, security, and energy efficiency improvements in many parking facilities.
