About Our New York Office

Established in 2009, Walker Consultants’ New York office is located in the heart of Manhattan’s Garment District, just two blocks south of Bryant Park and the New York Public Library. From this central location, our team serves clients throughout New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, bringing multidisciplinary expertise to projects across the region.

In 2026, the office adopted the name Walker Consultants Engineering and Architecture, P.C.

Our New York team brings together architects, engineers, urban planners, project managers, technicians, and restoration consultants, each contributing a distinct perspective to the challenges our clients face. By drawing on expertise across disciplines, we approach each project with a broader understanding of its technical requirements, operational needs, and long-term performance.

Our New York team’s qualifications also extend to NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) parking structure inspections and Façade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) inspections.

Qualified Parking Structure Inspectors (QPSI)

What distinguishes Walker’s New York team is its QPSI-led approach to parking structure inspections. A Qualified Parking Structure Inspector (QPSI) is a Professional Engineer who meets specific experience and qualification requirements established by the NYC DOB.

Walker’s Director of Forensics, Restoration, and Building Envelope Services in the New York office, Ibrahim Erdem, PhD, PE, QPSI, was the city’s first DOB-certified QPSI. Walker’s Senior Project Manager in the New York office, Kamran Kazemi, PhD, PE, QPSI, was also issued a QPSI certification back in 2025.
