Mohammad has more than 10 years of experience as a structural and wind engineer in the areas of structural analysis and design, construction, and project management. He has worked on several structural design projects and dozen of research projects on extreme wind loads and hazard mitigation contributing to recommendations for enhanced building standards and the development of innovative wind‑load mitigation strategies.
As a forensic and restoration engineer at Walker, Mohammad has been extensively involved in a wide range of projects on damage investigation of structures impacted by natural and man-made hazards including earthquakes, extreme wind events, fires, mud slides, adjacent construction, construction defects and vehicle impacts.
In addition, Mohammad has extensive experience as a restoration consultant, performing structural and waterproofing condition assessments of parking structures and developing asset management plans and design solutions to remediate deficiencies, restore performance, and extend service life of the structures.
Mohammad has authored more than 30 publications, including peer‑reviewed journal articles, conference papers, and technical reports, and has presented at numerous national and international conferences as well as local technical meetings. He is a licensed Civil Engineer in California and a Professional Engineer in Florida. Mohammad holds a PhD in Civil/Structural Engineering from Florida International University (FIU), where he was a member of the Extreme Events Institute research team at the Wall of Wind (WOW) wind tunnel facility.
