Walker Ozier is a licensed Professional Engineer, Registered Roof Consultant and Registered Roof Observer and serves as a Building Envelope Consultant in Walker’s Atlanta office. His experience includes reviewing and developing construction documents for roof, façade, and fenestration projects, building envelope construction administration inspections and reports, forensic leak investigations, and building enclosure assessments.
Walker has 10 years of experience in building envelope design. One area of his expertise is the design of various roof systems, such as TPO, PVC, Built-Up, modified bitumen, metal, and asphalt shingles, as well as wall systems, including brick, stone, siding, curtain walls, and windows. Beyond design, Walker has performed forensic investigations of building envelope components including evaluation and determination of the cause, origin, and extent of flashing failures, construction defects, and other failures. He has prepared written reports that documented causes of failure, the extent of damage, and recommended remediation. He also has experience in nondestructive testing, including infrared scans (IR), electro-capacitance scans, ASTM E 1105 window water testing, AAMA 501.2 water testing, and sealant pull testing.
