New York City’s Department of Buildings is introducing a new ordinance that will take effect on January 1, 2022: Administrative Code, Article 323, Periodic Inspection of Parking Structures. Like the Facade Inspection Safety Program (FISP), the rule seeks to ensure personal and property safety through recurrent assessment of parking facilities by professional engineers.
