The National Parking Association released a white paper entitled, “Smaller Cars? Not Yet.” This paper, authored by Walker’s Mary Smith, analyzes the manufacturing and sales of smaller vehicles known as “light vehicles.” The paper examines vehicle size classification, EPA regulations, sales trends, and “size creep” to determine what, if any, change is occurring in relation to the size of today’s personal vehicles. The study concludes that there has not been a substantive change (either larger or smaller) in the size of vehicles sold in the U.S. for the last 15 years. Thanks to Mary for continuing her research on this topic and promoting the Walker name!
